We chose Sandals South Coast specifically because of how unique a property it is- it sits on a 500 acre nature preserve, which not only keeps it beautiful- but safe from outside development. There won't be any random people from other resorts coming up onto the beach. No-one is allowed onto the property without being temperature checked and information taken- all the way to the cab drivers, every time. The staff are masked 100% of the time- and they take keeping you, themselves, and their families safe very seriously. There are people cleaning and disinfecting all over, at all hours of the day and night. While we can not guarantee safety, even pre-COVID, we do believe that we have done the leg work to find the vendors that not only are able to offer accommodations that follow WHO/CDC guidelines, but those that are innovative, transparent on procedures and policies, and those that offered training and education across all staff members, not just management. We closely watch Jamaican numbers, and infection rates, and are pleased with the Government's efforts to support safe tourism through testing, the Tourism Resiliency Corridor, screening procedures, and the authorization form. These are the things that we were looking for and personally testing and is what we refer to when we say "thoroughly researched, highly vetted, curated experience."
